Week 9 : Wrap Up

Welcome to the last installment of the WCPL Learning 2.0 program. In this week's Thing, we want to hear your thoughts about Web 2.0.

#13 What have we learned and where can we go?

If you didn't have a chance to complete every week, don't worry! This blog will remain available so that you can go back to the Things you missed. And if you're using Bloglines or some other RSS reader to follow WCPL Learning 2.0, don't unsubscribe now! There may be future updates here.

If you would like to continue your exploration of Web 2.0, you might want to take a look at and maybe even subscribe to Charlotte's Learning 2.1 blog. They're now up to 53 Things! Rather than a structured, week-by-week program, they now periodically post web 2.0 sites of interest. Recent entries have included: LitLovers, Libraries and the social web, and Mini-blogging.

Thanks so much for participating in Learning 2.0! We encourage you to continue your quest for lifelong learning!

* The most fun for me was watching Youtube's history of dance. I will continue to use Wikis personally.
* I think students could benefit from Flickr (sp?)
* Other stuff to learn about: cooking, music, movies. Our patrons might enjoy them too.
* Way to go folks. This was fun. Don't forget to send email reminders, not everyone blogs.

This is a great learning tool. How better to bring people together to learn all sorts of new things on ones own time. My fav. picnik!

The one I liked best was RSS Reader! That is a wonderful useful tool. I also liked LibraryThing, it is very useful for Librarians and Libraries both.
2.0 is a great learning tool. I enjoyed learning new stuff from all the different sessions. Many Thanks to Carol and Celia for presenting it to WCPL.

I liked exploring different blogs. I really enjoyed FLICKR and seeing different pictures of my hometown. Lots of fun.

I'm so glad that it will still be up = I will go back when I have time to do some more learning. Congrats on a great program. I really like the idea of wiki's for us to collaborate without so many meetings. Andrea @ ERL

I really enjoyed learning about everything. Lee LeFever's tutorials were great. Flickr and LibraryThing are my favorite new tools.
Thanks for making this available to us.

Web 2.0 has been a lot of fun, and I've learned so much. This was a great idea, well executed. Thank you to everyone who put these lessons together for the Baby Boomers like myself who had never had any hands-on experience with many of the sites and ideas you've introduced us to. I especially enjoyed blogging, Flickr, and Youtube.
